Love this concept! I find myself falling to the "inspiration">"need to buy product" trap all the time, and just as you mentioned, I put in the cart and let it stew for a few days. Nine times out of ten, you don't actually need it. In a world that's pushing for us to buy, it's so refreshing for this trend to come around. Good job!

I make teeny tiny art which takes skill, but not a lot in supplies. Small art means less packaging too! This originally was only because of my love of mini things, but I am glad that it also means I don’t have to use so much material.

When people lie like this the only thing you must remind yourself is that there is a lot of people with mental illness in this world, in this case there is no point to debate, this girl is probably sic. Very cool video, thank you! I do mostly collage art so i don't need much supplies. I recycle old magazines and books I find at thrift shops or that people give me. And I just buy glue and blades when I need them. But with painting, which I'm getting into more recently, that's another story 🙃 I really try to only buy the essentials but there's a lot of temptations. Also, I really love what you said about """inspiration""". I have to admit that I spend way too much time on my phone instead of actually creating, and this is what I really want to work on, so thank you for the tips! Love your channel ❤

i never comment on videos but i'm shocked that youtube recommended me a video with <300 views on art (something I rarely watch videos on nowadays) and it took me until the end of the video to discover this is not a big UA-camr preaching straight facts to me. I guess this is the sign I needed to start following all the things in the video I've been meaning to but haven't lol. (also I feel like there's a higher chance you will read this comment but while I love seeing your beautiful face I think it could be cool if you also included clips of you making art, in this video perhaps art with very few supplies could be relevant and provide interesting visuals)

Obviously she's a piece of work and obviously lied through her teeth about all this, but I will say that the initial point of her not being in the credits meaning she didn't work on the movie isn't exactly cut and dry. I was lucky enough (or desperate enough, depending on who you ask haha) to work on several major blockbuster films for a VFX house shortly after graduating college doing compositing and rotoscoping, both of which I totally didn't go to school for so I just kinda faked it until I made it and was fortunate that I took to it well enough. These VFX-heavy movies go through A LOT of studios with A LOT of people, and studios will even do things like outsource the work they bid on to other studios as well. For some studios there isn't enough room in the credits to list every single person that actually worked on the film, so they essentially tell a studio that they get X number of credit slots and it's up to them who they decide. For my studio specifically I believe we got 10 or 15 slots (it was a while ago, so I don't remember the exact number); a handful of those slots are automatically taken by supervisors and leads, leaving the rest for us grunts. You end up with 5-10 available credit spots for a company of ~65 artists, so we essentially did a lottery for each movie. Unfortunately never won any of the lotteries, so I have these movies under my belt, but if you check the credits my name is nowhere to be found.

That's why it's called a web of lies, it keeps expanding and spiraling out of control. It's ridiculous that in 2024 people forget that the internet exists and anything can be fact checked in seconds by anyone. The source of "trust me bro" ended in the late 90's when it took more than going to the library to call someone out as a liar. 🤥
